Spring Valley Village
Police Department!

You are Invited to Join.

Residents For Responders (RFR) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2022 by residents of Spring Valley Village (SVV) and Hilshire Village (HV). Our mission is to bring the community together in support of the officers of the Spring Valley Village Police Department (SVVPD).

While crime has surged across the country—especially in Harris County—our two villages remain among the safest communities in Texas. That’s no accident. It's a direct result of the dedication, professionalism, and vigilance of our SVVPD officers.

At RFR, we aim to recognize, honor, and humanize the men and women of our police department. We also provide direct financial support in times of personal need, with contributions coming from the very residents they serve and protect.

Whether it's repairing hurricane damage, assisting with medical bills, or helping a family through a health crisis, we stand behind our officers—just as they stand behind us every day.

Making a Meaningful Difference

Residents For Responders is dedicated to creating a unique and deeply supportive environment for the officers of the Spring Valley Village Police Department (SVVPD)—an environment where community appreciation is felt in real and tangible ways.

Peace of Mind - Thanks to SVVPD

You may never need to call the Spring Valley Village Police Department (SVVPD)—but if you do, they’ll likely be at your door in under three minutes.

What you might not know is this: criminals avoid Spring Valley Village and Hilshire Village. In a significant number of felony arrests made by the SVVPD—often initiated from routine traffic stops—offenders later admitted they didn’t realize they were in SVV or HV. If they had, they would’ve gone around. That speaks volumes about the department’s reputation and deterrent presence.

The Results Speak for Themselves

2024 continued to be a remarkable year for public safety, with crime rates remaining impressively low. In fact, Spring Valley Village and Hilshire Village are the safest communities in all of Harris County.

Take a look at the chart below comparing 2023 crime statistics from the four surrounding Houston Police Department (HPD) beats.

It’s clear:
We live in a bubble of safety, where children can ride bikes, play outside, and explore their neighborhoods with freedom.

And that’s no accident—it’s because of the SVVPD.
