Telecommunications Officer BoRita Williams
BoRita Camille Williams was born and raised on the south side of Houston, Texas. With nearly 25 years of dedicated service as a Telecommunications Officer, she has built a career marked by professionalism, compassion, and commitment. She spent 22 years with the Houston Independent School District Police Department and has served the past three years with the Spring Valley Village Police Department.
BoRita holds a master’s in telecommunications and is committed to lifelong learning. She continuously updates her knowledge of evolving laws and professional techniques, ensuring she remains an effective and informed public safety professional.
Among the many honors she has received, the one closest to her heart is the “Save a Life” plaque awarded by the HISD Police Department. This recognition came from a team effort to help a young person in crisis, reminding them of their worth and the care of those around them—a moment that speaks to BoRita’s deep sense of purpose in her role.
Family is at the heart of BoRita’s life. She devotes much of her time to her mother and adult son, and she treasures moments spent camping, playing games, planning holidays, and enjoying meaningful time with loved ones. A lifelong member of her church choir, she also sings with the Houston/Baytown Area Mass Choir. One of her favorite pastimes is fishing, which she values not just as a hobby but as a peaceful way to reflect and recharge.
Throughout her career, BoRita has come to appreciate the importance of bringing light and positivity into the lives of others. As a Telecommunications Officer, she is proud to be the calm, steady voice during moments of emergency—a role she embraces with honor and humility. She is deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve and for the trust placed in her by the Spring Valley Village community.
